Police seek help finding missing 79-year-old Maricopa woman | Top Stories

MARICOPA, Ariz. (KVOA) – Maricopa police are searching for a 79-year-old woman who has been missing since early May and has a medical condition that may cause confusion.

Miriam Smith-Burks was last seen on May 2 at approximately 6:30 a.m. in the 18400 block of North Lariat Road in Maricopa. Police believe she took some personal belongings and may have entered a vehicle of unknown description.

Smith-Burks is a Black female, approximately 5 feet 5 inches tall and weighing 140 pounds. She has black hair and brown eyes.

She was last seen wearing jogging pants and a shirt of unknown colors. Her medical condition raises concern for her safety and well-being.

Anyone with information regarding Smith-Burks’ whereabouts is urged to call 911 immediately. The Maricopa Police Department has jurisdiction over this case.
