TUCSON, Ariz. (KVOA) – Eight student-athletes at Pueblo High School signed their letters of intent to play college sports during a ceremony Thursday afternoon inside the Lever Gym.
The group includes athletes headed to programs in football, track and field, softball, wrestling, basketball, and flag football. News 4 Tucson was there and spoke with Alexander Villa who signed to play football for the Phoenix Phantoms.
He talked about what the day meant to him.
“It means a lot, all the hard work, all these people around watching, they support me throughout the way, my family right there, it just means so much to me,” Villa said. “Improving, improving my skill, improving the division I play for, trying to make it up there in the NFL, that’s my goal.”
Congratulations Warriors!
