FORECAST: Warming up across AZ

PHOENIX — Temperatures have been quite comfortable this week, running below average. However, they are starting to climb little by little as we head into Memorial Day weekend.

Expect Valley highs in the upper 90s by Friday and Saturday.

With high pressure on the way, things are looking even hotter over Memorial Day weekend.

Valley temperatures will back up near 100 degrees by Sunday and in the upper 90s on Monday.

We’re also tracking a bit of moisture moving in over Memorial Day weekend that could bring a few spotty showers or dry-based thunderstorms to the high country. We’ll keep you posted as we get closer.

We may feel a few breezes through the weekend, but winds pick up more into next week as a low pushes the ridge of high pressure out. Monday through Thursday, winds pick up most days with gusts at 20 to 25 mph across the state.
