A former Phoenix police officer, Michael Martinez, was arrested in 2022 and charged with solicitation of prostitution.
PHOENIX — A former Phoenix police officer has been sentenced to prison for a sex crime.
Michael Martinez has been sentenced to 1.5 years in prison and 10 years of probation.

Martinez was arrested and charged with solicitation of prostitution in October 2022.
The sentencing comes as part of a plea agreement.
At the time of his arrest, police said there was no evidence that any sex act occurred on duty or in a police vehicle.
