Man shot by deputy in Meadview, Arizona



No deputies were injured in the incident. The deputy involved has been placed on administrative leave.

PHOENIX — A man was shot by a deputy in Meadview, Arizona, according to the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office. 

Deputies went to a home in Meadview after reports of a fight between neighbors; the caller said a man was acting strangely and making threats. 

According to authorities, when deputies got to the home, the suspect left the home and fired a weapon at the deputy. The deputy fired back and the suspect was hit.

The sheriff’s office said the suspect went back into the home but he eventually came out. The suspect was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries via helicopter. 

No deputies were injured in the incident. The deputy involved has been placed on administrative leave.
