Woman killed running across I-10 in Tucson identified


A woman who was struck and killed earlier this month while running across Interstate 10 north of Tucson has been identified.

About 4 a.m. April 7, Lauren Diane Walker Meuth, 36, of Casa Grande, was struck by a passenger vehicle and then two tractor trailers, the state Department of Public Safety said.

Meuth stopped her vehicle in the eastbound emergency shoulder of I-10 and ran across the eastbound lanes and the median. Meuth was struck when she entered the westbound lanes of the interstate, authorities say.
