Turning a Page-A New Chapter in SaddleBag Notes Deliveries | Community

For nearly three years Senior Village has been proud to support the delivery of SaddleBag Notes to our community. The reliability and dedication of more than 55 volunteers have made this service possible.

After careful consideration, the leadership of Senior Village has made the difficult decision to discontinue sponsoring this effort. While we value the service it provides, the delivery process has presented ongoing challenges for both staff and volunteers.

The newspaper is produced by Tucson Newspapers Incorporated, and it is our understanding that publication and distribution will continue. They are interested in hearing from current delivery volunteers who may wish to continue in a paid arrangement. Or from other SaddleBrooke residents who might enjoy this opportunity to serve the community and receive a modest pay. If you are interested, please contact Joel Rohlik at [email protected].

We could not be more appreciative of each of the volunteers who has delivered the paper so faithfully and we are deeply grateful for the time and care you have given. We hope you will consider exploring other meaningful ways to serve as a Senior Village volunteer. To learn more about the wide variety of opportunities available—including some uniquely designed for those with busy schedules—please contact Mary Toth, Volunteer Coordinator, at 520-314-1042.
