Tucson’s VFW event: Rock concert aids local veterans in need | Local News



TUCSON, Ariz. (KVOA) – A local hero and former Santa Rita High School track and cross-country star is coming home as the newly elected State Commander of the Arizona Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW).

The homecoming event will take place on November 15, 2025, at VFW Post 549, located at 8424 East Old Spanish Trail, from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m.

The event will feature an outdoor rock concert with four bands, including tributes to Bad Company, Ozzy Osbourne, and Creedence Clearwater Revival.

Entry is $25 at the door, with food trucks and drinks available for attendees.

All funds raised will go directly to assist veterans and families in need.

The VFW, established in 1899, is the nation’s largest and most established major war veterans organization. With over 1.4 million members worldwide, the VFW is dedicated to veterans’ service, legislative advocacy, and military and community service programs.
