Tucson’s sign art museum damaged by fire


A two-alarm fire Saturday night struck Tucson’s sign art museum, authorities said.

About 10:45 p.m., firefighters went to the blaze at Ignite Sign Art Museum, at 331 South Olsen Avenue, near East Broadway and South Plumer Avenue, Tucson Fire said Sunday in a news release.

A second alarm was called at 11:15 p.m. 

The fire was called under control at 12:02 a.m. Sunday, the release said.






Photos posted on social media by Tucson Fire show significant damage inside Ignite Sign Art Museum, near East Broadway and South Plumer Avenue.




Photos posted on social media by the department show significant damage inside the museum building. No injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
