Fans of the Sabino Sabercats can easily follow the scoring with this new scoreboard, given by Idaho Central Credit Union. In February, ICCU merged with Tucson Old Pueblo Credit Union.
“We are excited to donate the new scoreboards at the local high schools as part of our commitment to Tucson,” Clark Rasmussen, ICCU Marketing Sponsorship supervisor, said. “ICCU has a long history of supporting schools in our communities, from contributions like the scoreboards to offering free financial literacy for any high school within our footprint, we’re committed to reinvesting in the communities we serve.”
ICCU merged with Tucson Old Pueblo Credit Union on Feb. 1, and the scoreboards are part of ICCU’s commitment to the Tucson community. The scoreboards have already been installed at fields and courts across the city and some include digital screens the schools can use for marketing.
“ICCU is excited to become a community partner in Tucson,” Brenda Worrell, president and CEO of ICCU, said. “Our mission is to help our members, and in turn communities, achieve financial success, which includes supporting local schools. We appreciate the warm welcome from the Tucson community and hope to see our members at some local high school sporting events!”
ICCU has a history of reinvesting in the communities where its members live and work and has committed to investing at least $1 million in Tucson nonprofits and community organizations over the next five years. Beyond financial support, ICCU lends time and talent to address community needs. In 2024, ICCU team members, referred to as its Green Team, volunteered more than 36,000 hours in their local communities. Additionally, ICCU provided 1,500 hours of financial education to high school students across its footprint and participated in 1,600 community events.
