Tucson Fire rescues man from a drainage canal on Southside


Tucson Fire Department utilized a hot seat Monday to rescue a man who had fallen into a large drainage canal.

The man had fallen about 20 feet into the canal, which was located at South Sixth Avenue and 44th Street, near the VA, according to a social media post from Tucson Fire.

The crews were able to safely lift the man out, at which time he was transported to a local hospital.
