Tucson driver dies days after crash

About 5 p.m. April 17, Francisco Javier De La Ree Cajigas was in a 2016 Nissan Versa that collided with another car while turning left onto North Prudence Road from eastbound Broadway, Tucson police said in a news release.

On April 24, police were notified that he died at the hospital.

An unidentified woman driving a 2021 Dodge Challenger west on Broadway suffered minor injuries in the crash, the release said.

The investigation continues, but police say in the release that failure to yield while turning left “appears to be the major contributing factor of the collision.”
