Tucson driver caught speeding 111 mph; police say while under the influence | Local News



TUCSON, Ariz. (KVOA) – The Tucson Police Department confirmed a driver was arrested after going almost three times over the speed limit. 

Early Friday morning TPD arrested a driver who was going 111 mph in a 40 mph zone. 

Officers said the driver was found to be under the influence, registering a blood alcohol content of 0.217 on a preliminary breath test, which is nearly three times the legal limit.

The vehicle was towed and the driver was arrested on charges of criminal speeding, reckless driving, and driving under the influence.
