Tri-Community Food Bank | Community

As 2024 has come to an end, the Tri Community Food Bank (TCFB) Board of Directors would like to extend a big thank you to the many donors, volunteers and organizations that have assisted in meeting the TCFB mission “Feeding Neighbors in SE Pinal County.”

The food bank serves residents in the Copper Corridor communities of Oracle, San Manuel, Mammoth and Dudleyville/Aravaipa. Many of the residents in these communities are very poor, food is insecure and grocery stores are 28 miles away, making it doubly hard for these residents to obtain nutritious food. The food TCFB provided this year is a lifesaver for 455 households and 1,360 individuals.

Without the donors, volunteers, and organizations support, the TCFB would not be able to fulfill its mission, “Feeding Neighbors in SE Pinal County.” The following are examples of the generous donations and assistance provided this year.

Organizations providing food and monetary donations: SaddleBrooke Community Outreach, Bashes grocery store, Dollar General, Long Reality-Golder Ranch, Verde Sputters, Santa Catalina Catholic Church, and Mountain Shadows Presbyterian Church.

Volunteers: Foodbank volunteers who hand out emergency food boxes, stock shelves, etc.; residents from SaddleBrooke and SaddleBrooke Ranch who assist with food drives; SaddleBrooke Sunrise Rotary for their generous donation of goods and labor; and Rotary Club of Tucson Sunrise who unload deliveries from the United Food Bank in Mesa twice a month.

Events: SaddleBrooke Community Outreach annual food drive, Long Reality Golder-Ranch Shredding and Recycling Event, Epic Rides, and SaddleBrooke and SaddleBrooke Ranch individual unit food drives.

The Tri-Community Food Bank is an all-volunteer organization, spending zero funds on administration costs. It is located at 108 W. Redwood Drive, in Mammoth, and is open five days a week (Monday to Thursday and Saturday) from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. The TCFB is an IRS 501©(3) non-profit corporation and an Arizona Qualifying Charitable Organization. To contact the TCFB or to volunteer, call (520) 487-2010 during business hours. The mailing address is P.O. Box 38, Mammoth, AZ 85618.
