TUCSON, Ariz. (KVOA) – The annual and traditional Tucson Rodeo Parade is set to bring excitement back to the streets, celebrating its roots dating back to 1925. Known as the largest non-motorized parade in the country, this event continues to thrive on community participation and the dedication of volunteers and sponsors.
The 101st Tucson Rodeo Parade will take place on Feb. 26 at 9 a.m. The route will start at South 12th Avenue and Drexel Road, then move east on Drexel to Old Nogales Highway, and finally turn north, ending at Irvington Road.
The parade route has been adjusted due to Union Pacific Railroad’s decision not to hold trains for the necessary three-hour window. This change keeps the festivities near the Rodeo Grounds and avoids crossing the railroad tracks.
The Tucson Rodeo Parade Committee expressed gratitude to the City of Tucson and the Sunnyside Neighborhood Association for their support in establishing the new route. Spectators are encouraged to visit the “Know Before You Go” page for more information.
Grandstand tickets are available for $11.63 to $16.78, with seating located on West Drexel Road between South Liberty Avenue and South Missiondale Road.
