For the 11th year, the Rotary Club of Oro Valley presents “A Taste of Oro Valley” on Sunday, April 12, from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. at historic Steam Pump Ranch.
The annual fundraiser and food festival features tastings, a wine and beer garden, live music, a silent auction and a 50/50 raffle.
Guests can enjoy “cuisine from a variety of local area restaurants,” more than a dozen in total, an invitation said. The wine and beer garden is hosted by Laramita Cellars, Omphalos Winery, Dragoon Brewer and Moto Sonora Brewing Co.
The OnesAll band returns to perform its fusion of soul, rock, funk, dance tunes and more.
Oro Valley merchants and organizations have provided goods and services for the live auction. There is a 50-50 cash raffle, too.
Rotary has identified Edge High School and StandUp for Kids as this year’s event beneficiaries.
Edge High School helps young people, those who have dropped out of the public school system or are at risk of doing so, to earn their high school diplomas. StandUp for Kids is committed to ending the cycle of youth homelessness.
Proceeds also help with community services offered by the Rotary.
Club of Oro Valley’s nonprofit Oro Valley Rotary Foundation.
This year, member donations and Foundation funds totaling $1,800 have been used to purchase four multi-trunk, velvet mesquite trees — two 6-foot and two 8-foot trees — for planting in the expanded grassy picnic area at Steam Pump Ranch. A tree dedication ceremony is planned during “A Taste of Oro Valley.”
General admission tickets are $40. Young people ages 7-12 pay $20; children 6-and-under eat for free.
