Sunsites water restored; Hope Water repair benefits residents | Top Stories

SUNSITES, Ariz. (KVOA) – Residents of Sunsites who rely on Hope Water Company services have received an update on the ongoing water situation.

The Hope Water Company confirmed that repairs on one well have been completed, and water is now available for residents affected by the outage.

There are no current plans for further water distribution or the continuation of cooling centers unless new issues arise.

Previously, Well 5 began pumping water into the system, with crews working to vent hydrants to remove air from the lines. Hydro will notify Emergency Management once the system is fully operational.

Cochise County government agencies, including Emergency Management and Public Health, are supporting the Hope Water Company during this outage. They organized water distribution at Sunsites Community Center, which also served as a cooling center, and at the Hope water tank site on Lansing.
