Rockin’ 4 Heroes is recognizing veterans with the creation of a $50,000 Endowment at the University of Arizona. The fund will provide support to student veterans and Gold Star family members.
The Rockin’ 4 Heroes Veteran Student Endowment, established through the University of Arizona Foundation, will be administered by the university’s Veterans Education and Transition Services (VETS) program. Funds will assist with expenses the GI Bill doesn’t cover things such as housing, transportation or emergency needs.
“Many student veterans are balancing school with family responsibilities and unexpected challenges,” Michael Quinn, Founder of Rockin’ 4 Heroes, said. “This endowment eases those burdens and ensures they have every opportunity to succeed.”
This marks the second endowment created by Rockin’ 4 Heroes. In 2024, the nonprofit established the Rockin’ 4 Heroes Jacob Dindinger Memorial EMT Scholarship at Pima Community College, honoring a Tucson EMT who lost his life in the line of duty.
Founded in Tucson, Rockin’ 4 Heroes’ mission is to honor and support first responders, active military, veterans, and Gold Star families. A free event will take place on Sunday, Nov. 9, at the James D. Kreigh Park in Oro Valley and features live music.
