Sam Levitz Furniture to close after 71-Year legacy | News

TUCSON, Ariz. (KVOA) — Arizona retail store Sam Levitz Furniture is going out of business after 71 years.

The family-owned company will close its two locations after all inventory is sold, with a liquidation sale opening to the public on Oct. 3.

Sam R. Levitz announced the permanent closure of the business founded by his father in 1953.

“It’s incredibly bittersweet for us to say goodbye after 71 years in business,” said Levitz. “Our family is proud of the legacy we leave behind and the relationships we’ve built with our loyal customers and employees over the years.”

The two stores set for liquidation are located at 3430 E. 36th St. and 3750 W. Orange Grove Rd.
