TUCSON, Ariz. (KVOA) – Pusch Ridge Football is the 2024 3A state champions!
The 4th-seed Lions beat 2nd-seed ALA-West Foothills 26-7 in the title game. Pusch Ridge rallied back from a 7-0 first quarter deficit, scoring 26 unanswered points.
It’s the Lion’s first state championship since 2015.
Kent Middleton’s team started the season 1-1. After their lone loss to Benjamin Franklin in week two, the Lions went on a tear. They won 12 straight games, including the championship, to finish the year 13-1.
The 3A title is coming back to Tucson for the second straight season. Sabino took home the trophy last year.
