TUCSON, Ariz. (KVOA) – The Pima County Attorney is advising the community to send footage after increased Immigrations and Customs Enforcement (ICE) incidents within neighborhoods across the county.
According to a press release from the Pima County Attorney’s Office on Jan. 23, the attorney said nature of the ICE activity is reportedly different from typical local law enforcement actions. The office is encouraging residents to submit any photos or videos that might depict improper conduct through their website.
Residents are reminded to exercise their constitutional rights peacefully. “I remind the community again to use your constitutional rights, to use your voice, to make yourself heard, to join and support each other in solidarity, and to protect one another,” Pima County Attorney Laura Conover said.
The attorney expressed gratitude for the community’s peaceful observation.
“If that peace from community is met with violence, it will not matter what uniform you wear or what agency you claim,” Conover said. “If you break our laws and cause harm, and if I have proof of it, you will face the full extent of the law, as vested in me.”
