TUCSON, Ariz. (KVOA) — A man believed to be the suspect in a southeast shooting triggered a massive response from the Pima County Sheriff’s Department Friday after he allegedly barricaded himself inside a business.
As of 10:30 p.m. Friday PCSD says the man was still barricaded inside “Top Notch Roadside” which is near Columbus Blvd. and Benson Hwy.
MAN BARRICADED INSIDE BUSINESS
“Top Notch Roadside” is the same location where PCSD says it got a call about shots fired around 2:30 p.m. Friday.
Shortly after responding to the shots fired call, PCSD says a woman was taken to the hospital after getting hurt from the incident.
The woman’s current condition is still unknown. It’s unknown if the man and woman had any sort of relationship.
The circumstances leading up to the shooting are not yet known either.
PCSD could not provide a name or suspect description but during the barricade situation involving negotiators, deputies could be heard saying the name “Travis” to come out of the business.
SWAT, the bomb squad and other agencies are assisting in this barricade situation, which News 4 Tucson saw happening since 5 p.m. Friday.
