TUCSON, Ariz. (KVOA) – A collision on March 22, 2025, at North Pantano Road and East Hawthorne Street has claimed the life of a motorcyclist.
Tucson Fire Department personnel transported the motorcyclist, Raymond Gordon Brown Jr., 60, to a hospital with life-threatening injuries. Unfortunately, he succumbed to his injuries on March 23, according to the Office of the Medical Examiner.
Detectives from the Tucson Police Department’s Traffic division are investigating the incident. They believe Brown Jr. was traveling northbound when he came to a sudden stop. A 2019 Toyota Tundra, also traveling north, collided into the back of his motorcycle. It appears a dog on a leash may have stepped into the road, contributing to the crash.
The driver of the Tundra, a 57-year-old man, was evaluated for impairment and found not to be impaired. He was issued a civil citation for failure to control his speed.
The investigation is ongoing, as authorities continue to gather details surrounding the collision.
