Motorcyclist, 15, killed in Tucson crash

A 15-year-old motorcyclist was killed in a crash Sunday when Tucson police say he ran a red light and collided with a car.

The unidentified boy was speeding north on along North Stone Avenue on a Honda PCX motorcycle when he ran the light at East Grant Road and collided with a westbound Volkswagen Jetta in the intersection, Tucson police said in a news release.

The teen was not wearing a helmet and did not have a valid driver’s license, the release said.

The driver of the Volkswagen was determined not to be impaired, the release said.

No charges or citations have been issued and the crash still is being investigated.
