Governor Hobbs visits Nogales Port of Entry to address border security efforts | News



NOGALES, Ariz. (KVOA) – Arizona Governor Katie Hobbs is visiting the Nogales Port of Entry on Monday morning to discuss ongoing efforts to enhance border security and combat illegal drug trafficking.

Joining her will be U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Acting Commissioner Troy Miller.

The visit is part of the state’s commitment to addressing the challenges posed by cross-border criminal activity and will offer a closer look at collaborative strategies designed to secure the U.S.-Mexico border.

Central to the discussion will be Operation SECURE and Taskforce SAFE, two initiatives focused on preventing illegal drugs from entering the state and ensuring the safety of Arizonans.

The news conference is being held at the Mariposa Port of Entry.
