TUCSON, Ariz. (KVOA)— Tonight a vigil was held for the victim of a deadly crash on the Southside.
Community members, family, and friends honored the life of 33-year-old Oscar Salazar.
Tucson Police say he died in a crash Sunday afternoon near Michigan Dr. and 6th ave.
The other driver was not impaired according to police, but they were allegedly speeding.
Salazar’s family did have a message tonight for Tucson drivers.
“Oscar was a kind soul,” said Maria Sigueroa, Oscar’s cousin. “This is where we lived and this street is just a really bad road. There is no crosswalks, there is no lights. Slow down, there is now where that you need to rush to that’s going to do this to a family.”
At this time no citations or charges have been issued in the crash. An investigation is still underway.
