MARANA, Ariz. (KVOA) – The Road to 250: Arizona Traveling Museum is making a stop at the Marana Visitor Information Center in March. This traveling exhibit aims to celebrate America’s 250th Anniversary by bringing a piece of history directly to the community.
The highlight of the museum is a replica of the Liberty Bell, a symbol of freedom and civic responsibility. Typically housed at the Arizona State Capitol, the bell will be traveling with the exhibit.
“Road to 250 is about making this milestone accessible to every Arizonan,” Adrian Fontes, Arizona Secretary of State and chair of the Arizona America250 Commission, said.
Housed in a custom-retrofitted semi-trailer, the museum combines national history with Arizona’s unique story through immersive panels, videos, and interactive activities. It aims to inspire civic pride and reflection.
The Marana Chamber of Commerce and Discover Marana are extending an invitation for the community to engage with this historical experience. Other community groups and non-profit organizations will also be present.
