Empire Softball wins 3A state championship for 2nd straight year | News



TUCSON, Ariz. (KVOA) – Empire Softball is the 3A state champions… again!

The top-seed Ravens won their second straight title and fourth in the last 10 years with a 1-0 victory over No. 3 seed Yuma Catholic.

Eva Peace hit a walk-off single with two outs in the bottom of the eighth inning to secure the win.

Empire ace Kendall Freidinger struck out 16 batters and gave up just one hit in her complete-game shutout.
