PHOENIX (KVOA) — Day 3 of a pivotal hearing before a judge in Phoenix will explore whether several allies of former President Donald Trump face mandatory prison sentences if convicted in a state-level case.
The hearing will address charges alleging their involvement in a criminal conspiracy to overturn the 2020 election results.
Defense attorneys representing Trump allies, including former White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows, Rudy Giuliani, Trump’s former personal attorney, and Christina Bobb, will argue that prosecutors are pursuing overly severe penalties to coerce cooperation from some defendants.
