The city of Tucson announced Friday it has extended the deadline to provide feedback on the preliminary draft of the Plan Tucson 2025 General Plan Update until Jan. 31 at 5 p.m.
The city describes Plan Tucson 2025 as a “long-term plan which guides growth and development in the city by establishing our community’s vision, goals, and policies.” The plan covers environmental strategy, cultural heritage, land use, transportation, parks, safety, public services, economic development, water resources and housing.
Feedback can be submitted in person or virtually at a number of community forums:

Community members can host their own discussion of the plan at home with family and friends — what the city is calling “meeting-in-a-box.” City officials are hosting two virtual orientations for holding your own meeting-in-a-box, on Jan. 7 from 5:30 to 6 p.m. and on Jan. 8 from 10 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., but those not interested in attending the orientations can find printed materials for their own meetings at each city councilperson’s ward office.
If neither of these options appeal to you, you can look at a preliminary draft of the plan at your own pace and provide feedback via online surveys.
