GRAND CANYON, Ariz. (KVOA) – The Dragon Bravo Fire, burning along the North Rim of the Grand Canyon, has now spread to more than 130,000 acres.
U.S. Forest officials announced significant progress in containment efforts, reporting that the fire is now 30 percent contained, up from 13 percent just yesterday.
This marks the highest containment level achieved so far. Currently, 1,300 fire crews are actively working to control the blaze. The fire, which ignited last month, was caused by lightning.
