WASHINGTON, D.C. (KVOA) – The United States has officially entered the conflict with Iran, striking three key sites in collaboration with Israel. President Donald Trump announced the military action on Saturday, marking a significant escalation in the ongoing tensions with Tehran.
Trump confirmed the strikes via social media, saying, “We have completed our very successful attack on the three Nuclear sites in Iran, including Fordow, Natanz, and Esfahan. All planes are now outside of Iran air space. A full payload of BOMBS was dropped on the primary site, Fordow. All planes are safely on their way home,” Trump said.
The U.S. decision to engage directly follows more than a week of Israeli strikes aimed at dismantling Iran’s air defenses and missile capabilities. Officials from both nations have highlighted the use of American stealth bombers and a 30,000-pound bunker buster bomb, which they believe is crucial for targeting Iran’s deeply buried nuclear facilities.
Iran has yet to acknowledge the strikes, and the potential for retaliation remains, raising concerns of a broader regional conflict. The situation continues to develop, and the international community is closely monitoring for any further escalations.
President Trump is expected to address the nation on this incident tonight at 7pm.
