TUCSON, Ariz. (KVOA) – Border Patrol agents made a significant drug seizure near the Border Wall east of Nogales.
On Nov. 7, agents discovered several abandoned duffle bags containing more than 160 pounds of methamphetamine. The meth was packaged in small cellophane bundles and found in a brushy area known for smuggler activity, according to the Chief Patrol Agent – Tucson Sector.
The drugs were taken to the Nogales Border Patrol Station, where chemical testing confirmed the substance. The meth was then transferred to the DEA for further investigation and destruction.
No arrests have been made in connection with this seizure.
