TUCSON, Ariz. – (KVOA) The voter registration deadline in Arizona is 29 days before Election Day.

This November’s election deadline is Monday, October 7 at 11:59 p.m.

Arizonans can register online, but only have a few days left to do so. https://servicearizona.com/VoterRegistration/selectLanguage

“It is really important that you not wait until the very last minute because all of Arizona may be submitting their voter registrations at the same time,” Pima County Recorder Gabriella Cázares-Kelly said. “That could lead to delays in the server with the portal if we overwhelm the system.”

Cázares-Kelly tells News 4 Tucson there is a a high level of interest and engagement this cycle as the registration numbers keep ticking up.

“We are seeing a very high number of voter registrations,” she said.

“We have 643,000 registered voters and that number is changing by the minute as my staff inputs more voter registration forms. We are working overtime, we are working this weekend to keep up with demand.”

Early ballots go out in the mail next Wednesday, October 9.

Election officials say upwards of 480,000 voters in Pima County will get an early ballot.
