TUCSON, Ariz. (KVOA) – For the first time in 2025, Arizona Baseball has a winning record.
The Wildcats completed the series sweep over San Diego with a 12-6 win Sunday. They advance to 4-3 on the season.

Garen Caulfield opened up the scoring with a RBI-single in the first. Cochise College transfer Mathis Meurant hit a three-run homer to extend the lead to 4-0 in the second inning.
San Diego tied the game up at six in the top of the 8th inning, but Arizona scored six runs in the bottom of the frame to secure the win.
Starting pitcher Smith Bailey hasn’t given up a run in his first two collegiate starts. He gave up three hits in five innings, striking out three.

Arizona has a 4-game road trip in Houston ahead. The Wildcats will play the reigning National Champions in Tennessee and top-ranked Texas A&M.
