The Tucson Festival of Books has openings for buskers or street entertainers to perform at the 2026 festival, March 14-15, at the University of Arizona.
All types of entertainment acts — solo or ensemble musicians, clowns, jugglers, magicians, etc. — will be considered to enhance the festive atmosphere of the event.
Chosen performers will be assigned two-hour time slots (10:30-12:30, 12:30-2:30 or 2:30-4:30) at a designated busking spot on the UA Mall.
The festival will not provide sound systems. Buskers may perform unamplified or may bring their own battery-powered systems, but must restrict volume to avoid infringing on other festival activities.
Entertainers are not paid by the festival, but are permitted to have tip jars/baskets.
Interested performers should fill out the online application at by Sunday, Jan. 11. Acts who are not selected through this process are not permitted to busk at the festival.
