Son calls 911 to report killing his parents in Peoria, police say

PEORIA, Ariz. – Two people were found dead in Peoria after police said a son called 911 and said he killed his parents.

What we know:

The incident happened in the area of 83rd Avenue and Jomax Road just after 6 p.m. on March 31. 

A man called police saying he had killed his parents who lived in the home, according to Sergeant Montez with Peoria Police. Two people were found dead.

What they’re saying:

 There is no threat to the public. 

“Out of respect for the family and due process. We won’t be sharing any further updates at this time.”

What we don’t know:

The identities of the suspect and victims were not released. The events leading up to the homicide are unknown.

What’s next:

Police said the man is in custody and will be facing charges.
