PHOENIX — It’s a cloudy day in the Valley!
A surge of monsoon moisture is moving in and we’re tracking some light rain showers across Arizona today.
We’re not likely to see any measurable rain in the Valley, but sprinkles and clouds are at least keeping temperatures around 10 degrees below normal for this time of year.
Overnight into Monday, chances for thunderstorms are back in the forecast.
They will be hit or miss in the Valley, but some locations could pick up measurable rain on Monday or Tuesday.
Temperatures will several degrees below normal, too. Here in the Valley, look for afternoon highs in the low 100s to start the week.
Drier air will begin to move in by Wednesday, clearing out storm chances for the rest of the week.
As our forecast dries out, temperatures will soar.
Phoenix could be back up near 110 degrees by the end of the weekend.
