PHOENIX – We’ll kick off the week with above-average temps in the Valley.
On Monday, we may break a heat record in Phoenix.
What We Can Expect:
The warm-up will continue, thanks to nearby high pressure, and ridging over the western U.S. Near-record and record high temperatures are expected on Monday and Tuesday.
Temperatures will top out in the low to mid 80s across the Metro. Clouds will move in, statewide, on Monday, and northern Arizona will experience breezy winds Monday and even more so on Tuesday.
What they’re saying:
We’re forecast to see a high of 85 degrees on Feb. 3, which is just shy of the record high of 86°F.
On Sunday, Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport reached 82 degrees, tying the previous high.
“Temperatures will be near record levels today and tomorrow in Phoenix,” the National Weather Service Phoenix wrote on X.
Looking Further Ahead:
Temperatures will gradually start to fall mid-week. The 70s are back in the forecast for the weekend and Super Bowl Sunday.
