Arizona weather forecast: Record temps on Friday before things cool down this weekend

We should set a high temperature record for the third straight day on Friday in the Valley.

On Dec. 19, Phoenix hit 83°F, breaking the previous record of 79°F that was set in 1917. We also set a record on Wednesday.

On Friday, we’ll see a high near 82°F, which would break the previous record of 78°F that was set in 1954.

This weekend, things will cool back down into the 70s.

Next week, temps will remain in the 70s, with a high of about 72°F on Christmas Day.
