Arizona weather forecast: 80-degree temps continue in Phoenix

Wednesday will be a little cooler in the Valley, but afternoon temperatures will still hover around 80 degrees.

By the numbers:

On Tuesday, the temperature at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport reached 86 degrees, breaking the previous high.

We won’t be breaking any records on Wednesday, but temps will still be above normal, albeit a little cooler with a high of 80 °F in Phoenix.

What they’re saying:

“Afternoon high temperatures are forecasted to be 5-8° cooler than they have been the past few days, however they will still be well above normal,” the National Weather Service Phoenix wrote on X.

What’s next:

For Thursday, the forecast high is expected to cap near 80 degrees once again in Phoenix.

Dry and warm weather will last through the weekend. Highs in the upper 70s are forecast for Friday and Saturday and the middle 70s on Sunday. Cloud coverage increases over the weekend, but conditions will remain dry.

Looking Further Ahead:

By early next week, additional moisture leads to a low chance of showers in the High Country. It still appears the pattern remains mostly dry for the extended forecast, but temperatures will drop into the low 70s next week.
