Woman allegedly assaulted in East Valley park, suspect on the run

CHANDLER, Ariz. — A woman was allegedly assaulted from behind in an East Valley park on Saturday morning.

Around 6:30 a.m., Chandler police officers were called to a park near McClintock Drive and Ray Road. The caller stated she was grabbed from behind and assaulted by an unknown man before losing consciousness, police said.

The woman was treated for her injuries at the park, officials said.

The suspect in the case has not been identified.
