Suspect at-large after 2 people allegedly shot in downtown Phoenix



A woman and a male teen were struck by gunfire during the event, police said.

PHOENIX — A suspect is on the run after two people were allegedly shot Friday night in downtown Phoenix.

The Phoenix Police Department said that around 11:30 p.m., officers were called to a shooting near 7th and Van Buren streets.

Upon arrival, police found a woman and a male teen who were struck by gunfire.

The Phoenix Fire Department arrived on the scene and took both to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police said the suspect in the shooting left the area before officers arrived.

Anyone with information is encouraged to call the police or SILENT WITNESS at 480(WITNESS) or 480(TESTIGO).

Calls to Silent Witness are answered 24/7 by a live person and submitted tips are accepted at all times. Submitted tips are then sent to the detective(s) in charge of the specific case. 

Individuals who submit tips that lead to an arrest or indictment in the case can get a reward of up to $1,000.
