Dieringer was wanted in connection with the killing of 67-year-old Frank Quaranta.
Police described Quaranta’s killing as a “targeted attack.”

Police responded to a home near 68th Street and McDowell Road on Sept. 1 for a welfare check and forced their way inside after they were unable to contact the victim, who was found dead inside, police said.
Police identified Dieringer as a suspect in the killing after learning Quaranta was giving him a place to stay for the past few months, officials said.
“He (Dieringer) has a history of experiencing homelessness, and has been described as manipulative and charismatic, often befriending others to assist him with a place to stay,” police said in a statement.
Dieringer will be booked into the Maricopa County Jail for a probation violation, officials said. Additional charges are pending.
“This was a true team effort, and it shows what can be accomplished when our employees, our community, and our law enforcement partners work together,” Scottsdale Police Chief Joe LeDuc said. “Let this also be a clear message: if you commit a violent crime in Scottsdale, we will use every resource at our disposal to find you, and you will be held accountable.”
This is a developing story; additional details will be added as they become available.
