Queen Creek police investigate shooting involving officers in church parking lot

QUEEN CREEK, Ariz. — A man is dead after being shot by officers in Queen Creek, according to the city’s police department. 

The shooting happened in a church parking lot near Chandler Heights and Ellsworth roads, police said. 

Officials said they received a call from concerned family members about a suicidal subject in another part of town. Officers found the man, who they said was armed, in the church parking lot, which is where the shooting happened, officials said. 

No officers were injured, according to officials. No other details were given.
