Phoenix police investigating death after man found with ‘possible signs of trauma’



The man was found dead Tuesday morning near 1st Street and McDowell Rd.

PHOENIX, Arizona — A death investigation is underway north of downtown Phoenix after a man was found dead with “possible signs of trauma,” according to Phoenix police. 

Police were called to the area of 1st Street and McDowell Rd around 7:15 a.m. for an unknown trouble call. 

They found the man injured upon arriving and pronounced him deceased on scene. 

The victim has been identified as 48-year-old Larry Anderson.

Phoenix Police Homicide Detectives are investigating.
