PD: Woman found in stolen car after being shot

PHOENIX — A Valley woman is fighting for her life in the hospital after she was shot and found in a stolen car, according to the Phoenix Police Department. 

The department told 12News that officers were called to the area of 7th Street and Union Hills Drive in north Phoenix just after 8:30 p.m. due to the shooting.

When officers got to the scene, they found a woman in a car who had been shot. She was taken to a nearby hospital by firefighters and is being treated for life-threatening injuries. 

Police later learned that the car the woman was found in had been stolen in Phoenix. 

No arrests have been made, no other details were released and the woman was not identified.
