PD: Man crashes into Phoenix police cruiser, takes off running



The crash happened near 19th Avenue and Indian School Road. Fortunately, no one was seriously hurt.

PHOENIX — A man was arrested after he “took off running” from the scene of a crash involving a Phoenix police vehicle, the department reported.

The crash happened just before 2:30 a.m. near 19th Avenue and Indian School Road, police said.

He was quickly taken into custody, and first responders took him to the hospital as a precaution.

Fortunately, the officer wasn’t seriously hurt.

Investigators believe that impairment played a part in the crash, but the investigation is still underway.

Police haven’t released the man’s identity or announced possible charges.
