PCSD arrests suspect in connection with Tucson Goodwill double shooting



The suspect, Adrian William Orozco, 40, was arrested near North First Avenue and East Grant Road, PCSD said.

TUCSON, Ariz. — A suspect connected to a shooting at the Goodwill Donation Center is now in custody, according to the Pima County Sheriff’s Department.

Shortly before 5:30 a.m. on Dec. 30, members of PCSD’s Robbery/Assault Unit, Homicide Unit and Pima Regional SWAT team served a warrant linked to the double shooting on Dec. 26.

The suspect, Adrian William Orozco, 40, was arrested near North First Avenue and East Grant Road, PCSD said. The 40-year-old was booked into the Pima County Adult Detention Complex. 

Orozco faces multiple felony charges including two counts of second-degree attempted murder, two counts of aggravated assault causing serious physical injury, two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, one count of auto theft, and one count of armed robbery.

PCSD thanked the community for their assistance in the investigation by sending footage and providing valuable information. 

The two victims of the shooting remain hospitalized in critical condition.

The investigation is ongoing.

“This arrest was made possible through the community’s cooperation and the persistent investigative efforts of PCSD detectives, with assistance from multiple units including the Fugitive Investigative Unit, Air Unit, Fraud Unit, Counter Narcotics, K-9 Unit and Night Detectives,” PCSD said.
