Phoenix police report a man was stabbed and killed in a domestic violence incident; one suspect was detained and later released after questioning.
PHOENIX — A man was stabbed and killed in a domestic violence-related incident in Phoenix, according to authorities
The Phoenix Police Department said the incident happened on Oct. 4 at around 3:20 a.m. near 44th Street and Indian School Road.

Officers arrived and found the man dead in the front yard of a home.
Police identified the man as 50-year-old Erick Michael Chapman.
Another man was detained at the scene after admitting to officers that he was involved in the stabbing. The man was also injured in the incident. He was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. After he was released from the hospital, he was taken to police headquarters to be interviewed by detectives. The man was later released, according to police.
